The whole essence of a wedding is represented by the “I do” moment. But this is not all. At this part the grooms give their approval for this marriage and they end up with the exchange of rings and exchange of vows. The wedding vows are on the one hand a sort of public love declaration and above this and on the other hand the promise made, the life commitment about respecting the God’s words, to be united and every time together from now on.
Writing the wedding vows has no strict rules, nor imposed references. It all has to come from heart, it all has to emphasize the unity between the two of them. Only just briefly worded as not to make a long lasting boring speech. As for the style, it reflects the grooms’ personality; while most of them choose a romantic interpretation others prefer to recur to funny wedding vows
First of all, funny wedding vows come in a measure as a mocking method, as a way to make it all in an original way. It has nothing to do with taking usuriously this step, it has no meaning that the grooms are irresponsible when it comes about such an important event in their life. But the thing is, at most of the weddings we see the same moments, the same ell. Traditional parts can have the same meaning but putted in another vision. So, with funny wedding vows one respects the traditions but makes it as an alternative to this.
Now, to recur to funny wedding vows it should be a common decision taken along with the priest. Not everyone tastes such jokes and mostly here are the priests. Speak with it from time, explain your intentions and only with its approval you go on with your plan. Apart from this, it should be a representative characteristic in general for the grooms. I mean both of you are funny, with a sense of humor and everyone knows it, so that you put this imprint at the wedding vows part too. But in case of a couple with sober attitude all the time, to come up with such idea means to shock everyone and not to succeed making the guests be part of your prank and taste it.
Moreover, take the funny wedding vows as how they are- a joke. Do this after or before the real wedding vows, with the aim of creating an amusing, spectacular moment at the wedding. After all, you want to hear the real ones too, you want to see your partner body and soul involved into expressing its love and deep feelings for you. If not for now, for sure that you want to have a memory from this in time. And remember, love is not a joke.
